OUR MUSEUM
At Olmochey Heritage, we proudly host a small yet carefully curated museum that offers a window into the deep and vibrant history of Ladakh. The collection features rare and authentic artifacts belonging to the Olmochey family, the village of Stok, and the broader Ladakhi heritage spanning over 400 years. Among the treasured items on display are an old Ladakhi king’s cap, intricately crafted horse saddles, traditional grain mills, royal dresses, and a variety of household tools and heirlooms that reflect the lifestyle of past generations. The museum is open exclusively to our guests, offering them a rare and enriching experience of Ladakh’s royal and cultural legacy.
STOK VILLAGE
Stok Village 15 kilometres away from the Leh town in Ladakh is historically significant for its 19th-century Stok Palace, home to Ladakh's royal family. It showcases royal artifacts and hosts cultural festivals like Stok Guru Tsechu. The village's strategic location facilitated trade and its artisans produce traditional crafts.
